John is a seasoned business attorney and counselor to his clients. Based in the Seattle area, John provides practical, actionable legal advice on a range of business law matters. Prior to founding Coughlan Business Law, PLLC, John was a partner at a large Seattle-area law firm, where his practice was devoted to advising businesses of all sizes—from early stage startups to large privately held and publicly traded businesses. He has counseled clients on a range of transactions, from initial formation matters to nine figure investment and M&A transactions.

John lives in Woodinville, Washington with his wife and two sons. He is an avid golfer, college football fan, and homebrewer. He will happily share a sample of whatever he has on tap in his kegerator in exchange for your honest feedback.
